I see your hot water bottle and raise you an electric blanket. 8pm bedtime, book and electric blanket… the best combination!

I just took delivery of an electric blanket yesterday! A cheap one, but my word... last night I had warm feet! In bed! So I am a beat behind you, but I am following in true belief that 8pm bedtime, book and electric blanket really is where it's at!

I too have discovered the joys of electrolytes this year. I bought some to see me through late pregnancy and labour, but have been having some every day for the past six months now. I don’t think I’d have fared through this postpartum + 4yo hurricane stage quite so well if I wasn’t having them. Sure it’s still been a shitstorm in parts, but the energy levels and recovery from sleepless nights is definitely far better than with my first. I’d like them to be cheaper, but I don’t see that I’ll ever stop having them. I heart electrolytes!

I live for this kind of comment! An electrolytes appreciation comment!! I am so thrilled to hear they continue to work for you - there was a piece in the guardian yesterday basically saying nobody really needs them unless they’re working out and sweating profusely, which is how I got into them… but I take them on the days I’m not even working out because I just find they balance me out and help with my energy so much. Yay for us!!!

Hard agree on the streaming front but can I recommend Nobody Wants This- it’s excellent, very funny easy watching but not insubstantial. Plus, Adam Brody as essentially the adult version of Seth Cohen ok then 👀

I did actually just start this on Friday! I really love the woman who created it, Erin Fuller - rooting for her getting something made! You’re so right that Adam Brody is essentially the adult Seth cohen… be still my beating heart! ❤️❤️❤️ also, THE CLOTHES 😍😍😍

Ok this was brilliant. Also: am low key NOT rolling my eyes at manifesting anymore because think it might actually work when I stop being a smug dick about it???? Would love a post on your process please and thank you xxx

Love the idea of a month on review, scheduling in me time and looking ahead to the next month. Makes me sound like I’ve just woken up from a long sleep - none of those things are groundbreaking but oh so effective in helping you feel less tired / more grateful / less life is shit!

Thank you - I really enjoyed reading. Have a great October 😊

You have a great October too! And I know what you mean - nothing truly helpful is ground-breaking but then that’s the thing isn’t it? When we’re tired and overwhelmed it’s always the basics that seem to fall away first. Oh humanness!!!
